SeptemBURR Preview!!

This tuesday is SeptemBURR meaning theres a major #GucciMane release coming out. Now ORIGINALLY Young Jeezy, T.I., And Gucci Mane's albums were ALL supposed to drop this tuesday. As far as we all know right now, Jeezy & T.I.s albums have been pushed back (This isn't news for Jeezy, we're convinced TM103 is NEVER dropping). As far as big time competition, Gucci now has to compete with the out-of-nowhere release of "I Am Not A Human Being" by Lil Wayne. Now this isn't another "Rebirth" mishap but it isn't "Carter 4" either so as far as projections go on sales, no ones knows. Back to the Brick Squad leader for the hour:

"The Appeal: Georgia's Most Wanted" is Gucci's first retail release since he was released from jail this past May. This album seems as sort of a sequel to "The State Vs. Radric Davis" and also sort of a "Hey N*ggas I'm Back" sign to let people know being in jail did NOT make him fall off. He went from his first featurette on "She Geeked" to dropping two exclusive mixtapes: Ferrari Music & Jewelry Selection. While "The Appeal" has a few tracks released on those tapes & around the internet, it features MANY songs not heard yet. The first single "Show Time (Ft. Swizz Beatz)" was only a preview of what the album had to bring. He has Bun B, Swizzy, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Estelle, Ray J, & Wyclef make guest appearances on the 15 track album. This ones skit free so you won't hear Mike Epps retarded a$$ on this album. The album doesn't stray far from usual Gucci: you have your "Trap Tracks" for you to bump in your charger, a few tracks for the females, and a few tracks to get the club goin'. Overall it looks to be another Gucci classic but thats for the listeners to determine!

Impressions: Thank Me Later - Drake

For those living under a rock, first off welcome to 2010. Theres a black president, Myspace is lame now, & your great grandma probably has an iPhone! But that's beside the point, if you somehow haven't heard, Drake's LONG anticipated album "Thank Me Later" has been leaked! He's already responded to the leak & his fans (Even the ones who have heard it) are still determined to purchase it when it drops sometime in the coming weeks. Apparently thats how good it is. On my birthday I was sent a Retail Copy of the album and haven't been able to stop listening to it. I'm one of those fans that is 99% sure I'm purchasing the album when it drops. Skip the songs you've heard on the radio (Over, Find Your Love, Shut It Down) they don't do much, if any justice for what you're prepared to hear on the album. The production is crazy first off includes beats by Swizz Beats, KanYe West, & many more noticeable producers. His featurettes go even further with artists including: Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, The Dream, T.I., and Swizz Beats. Minus "Over" I can listen to the WHOLE album all the way through, skip-free. I think we've all had our fair share of "Over" for awhile. I do NOT condone downloading the album, even if you ARE going to buy it later, just wait it out til the album drops. But I can't tell you guys what to do I can only encourage it (LOL). Weezy Cinema

If you have yet to see either of Lil Wayne's extensive 2009-2010 documentaries The Carter Doc & The Nino Brown Story Part 2 you're missing out on a world of Wayne that you don't get from listening to "No Ceilings" over & over.

The Carter Doc is a new approach to what most of you are used to seeing in hood documentaries (The Come Up, Smack, ETC). Although it's from QD3 (Beef Series) it, in my opinion, is one of those movies you'll watch if, god forbid, Weezy were ever laid to rest. This movie will probably have Weezy looking at it a few years ahead like "Damn, I grinded hard as hell and look where I'm at now". The movie starts a few weeks before The Carter 3 is released and goes on up til the week where he sold a million. It features various interviews, Concert footage, studio performances, and more. I don't know maybe you'll have to watch for yourself and make your own opinion about it.

I'm sure my brilliant Sidizens™ know their way around google enough to find the movie, not sure if it's on DVD yet.

The Nino Brown Story Part 2 is more of a look into studio weezy, daily weezy, and fun/hard working weezy. While NBS2 has the mechanics of a hood DVD it does carry many qualities of a strong documentary. Unlike The Carter Doc, NBS2 goes from Carter 3 all the way to No Ceilings with everything in between. NBS2 features concert footage, behind the scenes of video shoots, freestyles, backstage footage at concerts, some spotlight on other Young Money members, and Weezy's grind in general. You can get legal access to NBS2 via Youtube or www.mixtaperevolution.com. The Youtube version is streaming 10 parts so it's a little lengthy.

Hip Hop is on break 1/19/10

If you haven't noticed yet, LiveMixtapes has been dry, album releases have been slacking, and audio exclusives have been at a drought. Dont worry people this is just the calm before the storm. Jeezy & Drama are gearing up trap or die 2, waynes got a month left so he's expected to drop something, young money will come strong the 1st qtr of 2010 after the success of We Are Young Money, even so icey is making moves. So be patient folks good music is on its way from your favorite artist.

Hello Sidizens™! It's random thought time. Feedback is welcome whether good or bad.

SMC: Ladies(Relationships) Are Like Cell Phones

First off you have your Pre-Paid's. Pre-Paids are hoes(One Niters).
Plan:
* You only get so many minutes(Fuck time), after that you can add more(Keep going back) or you just end up dropping the plan and getting another(On to the next).
* There are no surprise or hidden fees(Strings Attached) and if any show up, you can just drop the plan, its pre-paid anyway.

Most Pre-Paid phone plans last about a month, maybe 2 if pimpin' is off his game.

Next up is the 2 Year contract. The 2 year contract is Wifey Material(Serious Relationships).

Plan:
* With a two year contract you may get unlimited minutes & text (Love Making, Romantic Moments, Valentines Day) without paying alot.
* There may be hidden fees but at the same time you are getting a better phone(Girl) WITH a much better plan(Good Relationship).

Most 2 Year contracts are renewed before the contract is supposed to be up, and if you last as a customer, you become a loyal customer(Marriageee).
